Magnetic declination will be different for different locations on the Earth because of the the angle of correction and it is measured in degrees east or west of true north.
Answer:
Magnetic declination, also known as magnetic variation, is defined as the angle that is created between the bearings of the magnetic north (that which is created by the magnetic fields of the Earth) and true north (geographic and it leads towards the North Pole). This angle is really important, especially when travelling, because it helps a navigator to locate himself appropriately, and know in which direction to go, to seek a northern route. Magnetic declination, changes depending on the location of a place on the planet´s surface, in relation to both the magnetic and meridian (true) north, and other changes that take place over time. Particularly, magnetic declination shows scientist the displacement of the Earth´s core´s fluids, particularly magnetite and iron ore, and allows them to follow the pattern of changes between the locations of the true north and the magnetic pole, for travelling, building, and other human activities.
