1) x + 9 = - 15
x = - 15 — 9
x = - 24
To know if it is correct you can say;
- 24 + 9 = - 15
Because you got back - 15 then it is correct.
2) 11x = 121
Again we are gonna make x the subject.
11x = 121
x = 121/11
x = 11
If you should do the opposite of division and multiply 11 by 11 you should get 121.
3) 30 = 8n — 2
Make n the subject
30 = 8n — 2
30 + 2 / 8 = n
4 = n
