Answer:Nicholas Kristof mostly uses second hand evidence in his article. One example of second hand evidence is “Would it have been wrong during the Holocaust to try to bomb the gas chambers at Auschwitz? Was President Bill Clinton wrong to intervene in Kosovo to avert the potential genocide there?”. These lines are also an example of logos because he brings up historical events in order to argue that we should help the Syrian children. Another example of second hand evidence is “Yet on the same day that Katie died, I published a column calling for greater international efforts to end Syria’s suffering and civil war, which has claimed perhaps 470,000 lives so far”. This is an example of both pathos and logos. At the beginning of the sentence he is talking about his dead dog which is pathos and the 470,000 lives list. Then he uses logos by giving statistics about how many lives were lost.
