What are the silk roads?
In the mid of 15th century, there was a network of Eurasian trade routes, whose span was almost 6,400 kilometers. This route was active right from the second century BCE. As it was a trade route, played a very important role in providing the facility for economic, cultural, political, and religious interactions between the East and West.
The name “silk road” is because of the popularity of Chinese silk. This silk was quite popular among the tradesmen in the Roman Empire and also in the rest of Europe. It was the silk route which can be said as a series of ancient trade networks. This network was between the countries in Europe and the Middle East.
Thus, more use of the silk road results in its damage.
