This is kind of a general question but I’ll try my best... and this is mostly bias in terms of technicality so...

The consequences of being unethical can range from simple guilt to lifelong regret; and the effects of one person being unethical can spread along to others, resulting in a situation where one person’s misdeed negatively changes another person’s life. Guilt, too, spreads similarly, like a disease, and the longer guilt is held, it— just like a hidden secret— builds in strength, tearing apart one’s sense of morality and self, until all that is left is the shredded remains of a childhood spent learning (one hopes) right from wrong, and an obsession over the gray area in which most people allow themselves to be unethical with “excuses” tiptoeing the lines of virtue and ethics.
