In " to build a fire " would the man have been better off if he panicked earlier or was he right to remain calm for so long ? Why?

Well, you didnt give much information to answer off of, but he was probably right to remain calm, because the more calm you are in a situation like that, the better capable you are to think of the correct way to go about working to fix your problem.
