The allies adopted a "Europe first" strategy, because c. only Germany was considered a serious long-term threat. This strategy, also known as Germany first was the key element of a grand strategy agreed by the United States and the United Kingdom during World War II. They both used most of their forces to subdue Nazi Germany in Europe first, Germany was a great threat to the UK.
