  • The statement by Turner that, "History, both objective and subjective, is ever becoming never completed" simply means that due to the fact that there are vital sources of information that have either been destroyed or lost, this has led to historical record that are incomplete. He also stated that some sources that survive are deliberately misleading.

  • According to Turner, the field of history interacts with the present as it helps people understand the way some things are. It also helps us in understanding the traditions.

  • Turner's argument about the nature of history is convincing as it  studies past happenings and how it relates to present developments as well as the future.
