The comets aren't harmful at all, as long as they're still "heading ... towards the Earth".

But if you want to compare a nuclear war to a comet's IMPACT, then if the comet is big enough and fast enough, the impact of a SINGLE comet could be far more harmful than a nuclear war.

And "big enough" could be a rock only a few miles across.

A million uvum ? No question. The comets are, if they hit.

It depends. To be real, they both are harmful but it only depends on the size and impact zone of it. If comets are too large and very hard, then of course yes, it would be more harmful.
