The American Dream: Is the American Dream attainable for all immigrants? Does Esmeralda achieve the American Dream by the end of the book? If so, at what cost? I haven’t read the book but the first answer is no because some immigrants still are poor as they come to America even though they have a job and don’t achieve the American dream in
