Well let me help you in here as Im a spanish native speaer. Im going to give you some sentences and then you can build up the paragraph
Hace/que structure:
Hace mucho que Juan no vajaba a Colombia
or
Hace tanto que Juan no visitaba Ecuador
where he went, what he saw, where he stayed:
Juan fue a Bogotá y vió monumentos de la ciudad y se quedo en el centro de la ciudad
or
Juan fue a Quito, vió maravillas de su cultura, viajó y se quedó en Cuenca
and how he got there:
Juan viajo en Avion
Juan viajo en tren
