Respuesta :
Carbon dioxide concentration is in its highest levels measured in the month of May because of bright sunny light of high intensity is received by plants in the environment. While it is lowest in the month of October because of the low intensity of light received by the plants in the environment.
What is photosynthesis ?
Photosynthesis is the process in which plant manufactures it own food by itself through sun light whereby producing carbon dioxide into the surrounding.
in the northern hemisphere, climate scientists observe seasonal changes in carbon dioxide concentration with the highest levels measured in May and the lowest levels measured in October. In order to hypothesize how photosynthesis can affect these changes, we will consider the following facts :
- Photosynthesis depends on the intensity of the light coming from the sun.
- Because of the seasonal changes, the intensity of the sun will never be the same in the month of May and October.
- Carbon dioxide is produced by plants as plants expire into the surroundings.
- The Carbon dioxide produced depends on the intensity of light from the sun.
Based on the facts above, photosynthesis can therefore affect the concentration of carbon dioxide due to seasonal changes in the month of May and October because of different magnitude of light intensity from the sun in the two different months.
We can therefore conclude that carbon dioxide concentration is in its highest levels measured in the month of May because of bright sunny light of high intensity received by plants in the environment. While it is lowest in the month of October because of the low intensity of light received by the plants in the environment.
