The United States constitution takes a neutral position on issues regarding religion. Hence, practices or activities geared at promoting or favoring a certain religion are forbidden in public schools. Hence, practices such as school prayer does not violate U.S law.

  • The law often takes a secular perspective whn dealing with public issues as it incorporates several religious institutions.

  • However, since there are policies which allows the practice of religion without intimidation, practices such as school prayer is allowed in as much as it doesn't affect or interfere with other activities.
