I agree but its my belief that we have not only a responsibilty to domesticated animals but to all animals. The fact that we unlike all the other living beings we share this planet with are destroying it. In my opinion makes us responsible for more then just the animals.
We have invented ways to make our lives easier and either dont believe or dont care about the effects it has on our planet. It's our responsibility to take care of everything been negatively affected by our actions.
