Please help me out! I will seriously give 100 points and Brainliest (when given the opportunity) Imagine you will be giving a speech in front of the pope just before the start of the Protestant Reformation. Your speech is meant to warn him about the challenges that will soon confront the Roman Catholic Church. Your speech should explain which of the Reformation's causes you think the church has control over and which it doesn't. It should also offer advice on how to handle the issues the Catholic Church does have control over. Your advice should be supported by actual historical events from before, during, and even after the Protestant Reformation.

Surely you can see that this is a serious matter. If allowed, it will have a serious affect on both the church and the pope. If people are allowed to communicate directly with the Holy Master of the Universe, what will be the function of your priests? What will your function be if theirs is reduced?

Among the 95 points Luther makes is one on indulgences. That is income for the church -- much needed for buildings. The ban on indulgences will seriously erode the power of the church over the people. We cannot let that removal of that doctrine remain unchallenged.

These two will not be easy to control, or even possible, but try we must.
