The Differences are:

  • Looking at Whitman's poem, you will see that there is no use rhyme and meter but the poem of Dickinson's does.
  • Whitman's poem is known to be one that does not contain many figurative language but that of Dickinson's does have a lot of figurative language.
  • Whitman's poem is one that is describe as somber, depressed tone, while Dickinson's poem is one that connote happiness, and have lively tone.
