ms.lounnivongsa is building a new deck on the back of her house, she wants 4\5 of it to be made from wood and the rest stone. how much of the deck will be made of stone? draw a model and explain

Draw a square and then break it up into 5 parts. Shade one of those five parts to represent the part that is stone
1/5. 
Think of fractions as subtraction. So for this you do 5-4.
5 - 4 = 1.
So just add 5 under 1.
1/5 will be stone. :D
