Starch and ATP can both be described as molecules that store energy. Compare and contrast starch and ATP in terms of storing energy and supplying energy for a cell's work.

Starch is polymer (chain) of Glucose. So whenever we need energy we break it and use it to create ATP. Whenever their are plenty of source of glucose we store it as starch.

ATP can be used by many biological molecule for various process.

Starch is a carbohydrates that made up of the polymer of glucose. Starch is present in plants and other organism but not in animals. The starch stored energy and must be hydrolyze if wants to supply energy to the cell.

ATP:

ATP is adenosine triphosphate that are made up of adenosine molecule linked with the three phosphate groups. The ATP is known as the energy currency of the cell and supplies energy directly to the cells to do the work.
