A fence is put around a rectangular flower bed. The flower bed is 10 feet wide and 20 feet long. What is the total length of the fence?

Perimiter=2(Length+width)
Legnth=20
Width=10

P=2(L+W)
P=2(20+10)
P=2(30)
P=60

Since it's a rectangle, the two long sides (20 feet long) add together to get 40 feet long.  The two shorter sides (10 feet wide) add together to get 20 feet.  Add 40 and 20 to get 60.  60 feet is the perimeter. :)
