The Gulf War was fought in 1990. The conflict occurred between two oil producing countries Iraq and Kuwait. Iraq and Kuwait are neighboring countries.
The Iraqi army invades Kuwait to obtain his oil reserves and increase Iraqi power in Middle East. Thus as a result of the conflict the Kuwait was effected and its citizens and economy affected as a result. The currency (Kuwaiti Dinar) was also dropped at a lower rate.
The US and allies responded and push back Iraqi army from Kuwait.
