Gretchen’s character trait has to be bravery and her motivation was to get the medicine for her mother and to move on. Gretchen didn’t want to cross the bridge because she was afraid but she thought about the consequences of not crossing the bridge so she crosses the bridge. That showed bravery and the reason why she did it was for her mother so that would be her motivation. After she had crosses the bridge she was tired and wanted to rest but she wanted to continue her journey. That also shows bravery.
