  • We have to find the present ages of Meena and her mother.

Let's Begin :-

Let the present age of Meena be ' x ' years.

  • Now, It is given in the question that her mother is 4 times as old as Meena

That means,

Present age of her mother

Now,

After 5 years

The age of the Meena will be

[tex]\sf{ = x + 5 \: years }[/tex]

Therefore,

According to given condition,

The age of her mother will be

= [tex]\sf{ = 4x + 5 \: years ...eq(1)}[/tex]

But, It is given that,

  • After 5 years, Her mother will be 3 times as old as Meena.

That is,

After 5 years, Her mother age will be

From eq(1) and (2) :-
