Higher Goals was a sculpture in which Hammons placed five wooden poles decorated with caps and created basketball courts on top to allude to the goal of playing professionally for many young people.
This work was located for eight weeks in Brooklyn's Cadman Plaza Park where it was built. After its exhibition, the work was withdrawn like many of his works.
