What is Business Ethics?

Corporate ethics is a type of applied or professional ethics that looks at moral or ethical issues that could come up in a business setting. It is important to the actions of both individuals and entire companies and is applicable to all facets of business behaviour.

The rules for ethically correct and wrong behaviour in company are referred to as business ethics. Law defines behaviour in part, but "legal" and "ethical" are not always synonymous. By defining permissible practices outside of the purview of the state, business ethics strengthen the law.

In ethics, moral imagination refers to the presumptive mental ability to generate or employ concepts, pictures, and metaphors that are not directly drawn from moral principles or direct observation in order to ascertain moral truths or to formulate moral reactions.
