Similarly, the size of CIO4 is larger than that of SO4. The magnitude of charge in SO4 is same as that CIO4, but the volume, due to small size, of SO4 is smaller than that of CIO4. Hence, due to smaller volume and higher charge, SO4 will have higher charge density.
