Conclusions
What conclusions can you draw about how the sum of forces acting on an object affect its motion? Write an evidence-based claim.
Type your answer here:
Which mass, A, B, or C, was the greatest? Use the observations from your experiment and your knowledge of Newton’s laws of motion to write an evidence-based claim.
Type your answer here: Mass c was the greatest
Make a model that shows the forces acting on two blocks on a flat, frictionless surface:
A 1 N block at rest
A 1 N block with 2 N of force applied in one horizontal direction
Include arrows to represent the forces and labels to indicate the magnitude of each force. Use your model to compare and explain the motion of each block.
Type your answer here: The 1 N block at rest will remain at rest unless external force greater than 1 N acts on it. The 1 N block with 2 N force applied in one horizontal direction, will move in the direction of the 2 N force.

Respuesta :

The purpose of this experiment is to determine effect of force on motion of objects.

Independent variable is force; dependent variable is time; control variables is object mass.

The greater the sum of the forces, the greater the motion of the object.

Mass C was the greatest.

The 1 N block at rest will remain at rest .

the 1 N block, it  will move in the direction of the 2 N force.

What is motion and force?

Motion is the change in position of an object with time.

Force is an agent which causes a change in the state or motion of an object.

Considering the experiment:

The purpose of this experiment is to determine effect of force on motion of objects.

The independent variable is force, the dependent variable is time, and control variables is the object mass.

It can be concluded that the greater the sum of the forces, the greater the motion of the object.

Between the three masses A, B, and C, Mass C was the greatest.

When the force is applied on the 1 N block at rest

The 1 N block at rest will remain at rest unless external force greater than 1 N acts on it.

When a 2 N force applied in one horizontal direction on the 1 N block, it  will move in the direction of the 2 N force.

In conclusion, force applied on an object produces motion if the force applied is greater that the force on the object. The greater the applied force, the greater the motion of the object.
