What is the Miasma Theory

The Miasma theory is an obsolete Greek  medical theory that suggested  that diseases such as cholera, chlamydia, or the Black Death were caused by a miasma which is a noxious form of "bad air", also known as night air.

   The Greek ward means Pollution and hence the theory opines that such diseases as mention above are caused and transmitted through air pollution.
