It is false that an accessor, or getter, is able to access class fields, but not modify them.

Accessor are used rather than creating a category member variable public  and changing it directly at intervals within an object. To access a personal object member, an accessor perform should be referred. They are also known as getters and they do not have power to modify class fields.

A class field is a variable, property or technique of a category which might either be static or non-static. Java Class File Editor is the one who is allowed to modify the class fields.
