The mood for two days of in-depth conversation was established by a few guys wearing backward hats last Tuesday when corporate leaders packed the 378-seat Times Center in Manhattan.
As a student volunteer who was present for the first World Congress 21 years ago, Jessica Berman felt as though she had come full circle at this year's event. She was primarily responsible for Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, at that time in Manhattan.
Berman, the commissioner of the National Women's Soccer League, asserted, "I was responsible for taking him from the green room to the stage." Unquestionably more anxious for that than I am for today, I was quite anxious.
