I disagree with the Jacksonians' vision of themselves because Andrew Jackson disregarded the Indians, as evidenced by his Second Annual Message to Congress.
In light of the succeeding texts and your familiarity with the 1820s and 1830s, how much do you concur with the Jacksonians' view of themselves?
The Trail of Tears, Andrew Jackson's second annual message to Congress, and the substantial resistance to the national bank all demonstrate that Jacksonian Democrats were not advocates for the U.S. Constitution, political democracy, individual liberty, and economic opportunity equality. I disagree with Jacksonians' self-perception as a result. Jackson showed disdain towards the Native Americans.
Evidence: DOC 1; Andrew Jackson's Second Annual Message to Congress does not discuss individual freedom since he introduces the Indian Removal Act with the goal of advancing the country (Enacted in 1830, that forced Native American peoples east of the Mississippi to move to lands in the West). This does not totally benefit the Indians, though, as the Congress ends up robbing the Chereokees of their money, land, and animals despite their vows to do so.

DOC 4 :Jackson was impeding the development of democracy by requiring people to act in accordance with his personal preferences rather than as a country.
