The Revolution of 1911, replaced the Chinese 2000 year old imperial system with the Republic of China headed by Sun Yat-sen. The borders were more clearly identified in particular with Taiwan, leading the way to the Communist Regime, which sought to unify the multiple regions and North, South, East and Wester borders, expanding them.
