Why has bureaucracy evolved over time?
The bureaucracy in the United States started off as a fairly tiny group of people. But with time, it developed into a significant power in politics. In fact, it expanded to such a size that politicians today have made fun of it to great political benefit. Because of the increased employment of outside contractors in recent years, the bureaucracy has decreased to some extent through some private businesses, being paid to perform specific jobs.
Currently, federal funding account for a considerable portion of the salaries of several state and local government personnel. By making organizations less adaptable and decreasing operational efficiency, bureaucratic regulations and procedures can unintentionally stifle innovation. However with time, bureaucracy developed into a significant power in American politics. In fact, it expanded to such a size that politicians today have made fun of it to great political benefit.
