Why do children need to be taught what is acceptable and unacceptable and what is expected of them

so they dont get into alot of trouble with the law when ever they grow up
so that they grow up to better and more respectable citizens... also its easier to teach a child something that an adult...adults tend to be more fixed in thier ways and children are likely to be more willing to change...
