I think that judging by the amount of fertilizer used and how it killed the plant that your answer would likely be D.

The plants increased their growth when the amount of fertilizer added increased until reaching an optimum point of fertilizer quantity, from which greater amounts of fertilizer had a detrimental effect on the growth of the plants and even caused their death.

The optimum occurred when adding 3 grams of fertilizer to the plant. When applying 4 grams to the plant the yield of the fertilizer decreased and when applying 5 grams to the plant, the plant died.
