How should I finish the conclusion? I'm a little stuck.

This project helped me realize how hard it was to live during the Great Depression. Until now, all I knew was that most people were without a job. Compared to now, life in the 30s was very difficult and trying. But did it have to be? Some historians today have speculated that the over management of FDR and Herbert Hoover actually prolonged the Depression seven years!

This is a great conclusion. You should leave it like that, but don't write in first person and don't mention the  "project" that you're doing. It's good that there's somewhat of a cliffhanger that you're ending on.
