Takashi ran 200 yards in 40 seconds Ana ran 150 yards in 25 seconds can u tell who runs faster without rewriting the rates explain why or why not (part A & part B)

Takashi ran 200 yards in 40 seconds Ana ran 150 yards in 25 seconds can u tell who runs faster without rewriting the rates explain why or why not part A amp par class=

Respuesta :

150 is smaller than 200 so 25 is smaller than 40, but 25, in perspective to the numbers, is much smaller than 40. Ana is faster.

Check:

Takashi: 200 divided by 400 equals 5 yd/sec
Ana: 150 divided by 25 equals 6 yd/sec
Well to solve this without actually writing therates, just by looking at the question, it should tell you that 150 yards in 25 seconds will be smaller than 200 yards in 40 seconds just by judging on the quantity of the numbers.
If you want to check then we can always divide
200/40 = 5/per yard
150/25= 6/per yard
WOW! This problem really stumped me. It's a great thing we did check or you would've got the answer wrong
(IN MATH, ALWAYS DO A CHECK! IT MAY SEEM LIKE A WASTE OF TIME BUT TRUST ME IT HELPS)
Hoped this helped and if it did press that Thanks button down there↘️
