The slope intercept form of a line is y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept...so solve for y...
2y-8x=7
2y=8x+7
y=4x+3.5
so the slope is 4 and the y-intercept is 3.5
2y-8x=7
2y=8x+7
y=4x+3.5
so the slope is 4 and the y-intercept is 3.5
Converting it to slope intercept form is the easiest way. Slope intercept is y=mx+b, so thatś what you have to fix. Add 8x to both sides to cancel it out from 2y-8x. This leaves us with 2y=8x+7, but slope intercept requires the y to have no number attached (Technically, 1 is attached). So since 2y is basically 2(y), divide two from both sides to cancel it out from y. 2y/2 is just y. 8x/2 is 4x, and 7/2 can be kept a 7/2 or 3.5. The remaining answer is y=4x+3.5 or y=4x+7/2.
