[tex]2x= \frac{3}{4} [/tex]

To get x on it's own we need to divide by 2 on both sides:

[tex]x= \frac{ \frac{3}{4} }{2} [/tex]

This is the same as:

[tex]x= \frac{3}{4} / \frac{2}{1} [/tex]

We can flip and multiply to solve the division of fractions:
[tex] \frac{3}{4}* \frac{1}{2} = \frac{3*1}{4*2} = \frac{3}{8} [/tex]

So now the equation (and solution) is:

[tex]x= \frac{3}{8} [/tex]
