Peanut Butter is a very attempting choice, but I'll have to mark it out.
Plants absorb nitrate mostly to be able to produce "B. Amino acids, proteins, and nucleotides."
They need these so they can expand roots, be able to take in water, successfully complete photosynthesis so they can make their own food. Basically they need these things to survive.
