The short answer is that revenue is the total of all money that a company receives from people paying for its products or services, and profit is what is left over at the very end after the company has paid for the cost of goods sold, plus all of its expenses.
Revenue is the money you earn, not counting the cost of production, workers, ect.

Profit on the other hand is the money you earn when you subtract the production, employee, ect. cost from the revenue!

Example:

Jim has a cafe, on Tuesday his revenue was 800 dollars, he subtracting the pay for his employees, the food/drink cost, water, and lighting,

after that he had 568 dollars which is his profit!

Hope i helped!
