Compare the similarities of the conflict in To Kill a Mockingbird and "Romeo and Juliet"

Respuesta :

The conflicts in To Kill A Mockingbird and Romeo and Juliet are similar because they are both wrongly persecuted because of social norms.

In Romeo and Juliet, they are looked down upon because they love each other, and are both parts of two opposing factions.

In To Kill A Mockingbird, Tom Robinson is persecuted simply because he is a black man. The evidence presented in the book clearly justify that he could not of committed the crime. However the jury finds him guilty, although this could just be put off as a coincidence, the jury was full of all white men. Whom, during the time, already mostly looked down upon blacks.
