Macy was asked to give the coordinates of a point that will be located in quadrant IV. She gave the coordinates (–2,3).   Explain the mistake Macy made.

Macy either put the numbers in the wrong order or put the negative symbol on the wrong number. Hope I helped.

That point would be in quadrant two. She put the negative sign on the wrong number. In order for a coordinate to be in quadrant four, it would need a positive x value and negative y value.
