I'm having trouble figuring this out!
i've done some math but its not right at all and i'm stuck

Point M is the midpoint of segment QR. If QM = 2x + 5 and MR = 5x – 1, find the length of QR.

set QM and MR equal to eachother SINCE m is the midpoint
this will help us find x
2x+5=5x-1
-2x both sides
5=3x-1
+1 both sides
6=3x
÷3 both sides
x=2

now add QM and MR together to figure out the total length of QR
2x+5+5x-1=QR
Plug in x
2 (2)+5+5 (2)-1
4+5+10-1
9+10-1
9+9=18
QR=18
