A good example of the use of aquatint in creating areas of unmodulated, translucent color is the print Woman Bathing, created by Mary Cassatt.
This piece of art was created at the end of the 19th century by Cassatt. She was an American artist who spent most of her life in Paris, so her style is visibly influenced by French artists and impressionists.
