Last year there were 43 science projects submitted by students at a science fair. This year thre are 52 science projects. To the nearest tenth, what is the percent of change in the number of science projects summited?

Respuesta :

First, we work out the increase/decrease of the two amounts

There are 52-43 = 9 projects increase

Percentage increase = [tex] \frac{number of increase}{original value} [/tex]×100
Percentage increase = [tex] \frac{9}{43} [/tex]×100
Percentage increase = 21% (to the nearest integer)
