Latin translation help? I am reading "The Crucible" and the line "In nomine Domini Sabaoth sui filiique ite ad infernos" came up. I know what a little bit of it means, but I can't put it all together. So, could somebody please translate it for me?
In the Name of the Lord of Hosts and of His Son Go To Hell
The main problem is Sabaoth - a Hebrew word which has wandered into Latin, but only for the expression Dominus Sabaoth (Lord of Hosts).
You need a capital F on Filiique (Second Person of the Trinity).
