Part A: The shading is in between the lines. The line for y<4x-2 is dotted, while the line for y≥(-5/2)x-2 is solid. The solution area is below the line y=4x-2 and above the line y=(-5/2)x-2.

Part B: (-2,-2) is not in the solution area. We can plug (-2,-2) into the inequalities: -2<4(-2)-2, and -2<(-5/2)(-2)-2. However neither of these are true so it is not a solution.
