Locke trusted that reason is in fact the law of nature, for in a condition of freedom where there are no constraints on a man's capacity to discard his individual or property, a man must comprehend that he should regard every single other man's lives, wellbeing, freedom, and belonging. This is on account of God made all men similarly, with no condition of inadequacy. All men should try to protect whatever is left of humankind unless they have conferred an offense against the life, wellbeing, freedom, or belonging of another. In a condition of nature, there is no legislature or better power than complete the laws and in this way every man may execute discipline.
