The answer is B: Heroes are examples of what a culture values most.
An epic hero, like Odysseus in Homer´s Odyssey, is a faithful depiction of a culture´s values inasmuch as he represents, through his actions and words, the principles through which an ethnic group structures its social interactions placing worth on some actions and blame on others, like, in the example of Odysseus, one can see that the Greeks (Acheans) valued nobility, bravery, faithfulness, practical intelligence, fear of the gods, but also saw vice in pride, intemperance, and overindulgence, to name but a few examples of cultural values and vices.
