It was a multifactorial choice which was not common that many leaders and civilian inhabitants did not want to rebel and that was touched after many years of american colonists complaining in contradiction of what they measured to be one-sided and irrational behavior by the ruling british government. After decades of great britain monitoring the colonies and striking provocative laws, taxes, and regulations on them and ultimately the colonists got provide for up and started establishing rebel activities to try and coup the british authorities to become independent. The most well-known event was the boston tea party in which colonists deserted a huge consignment of british tea into the boston harbor in protest of an increase in the tax on tea in 1773 and is regularly measured the straw that broke the camel's back and accomplished to the american rebellion but there were many other historic actions that aided to tip colonial america into full rebellion.
